Tamara Yerofeyeva Russian: Тaмара Ерофеева Tamara Erofeeva (born 4 March 1982 in Kyiv, Ukraine) was a Rhythmic Gymnast. Originally she performed in the group discipline but, later, changed to individual. Her mother was advised that her daughter might be good at Rhythmic Gymnastics and Tamara started the sport at age 10.
She placed 6th in the all-around at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. She won the 2001 world championships because of the disqualifications of Alina Kabaeva and Irina Tchachina.
After 2004 Tamara was employed by Cirque du Soleil for approx 2-years. She performed in their show Corteo, alongside fellow ex-rhythmic gymnasts Mary Sanders and Yulia Raskina. In year 2007, Tamara performed in the Cirque-Works "Birdhouse Factory" tour of primarily western USA states. Since January 2008 and currently, Tamara stars and performs rhythmic gymnastics in the resident Las Vegas show called "The Ultimate Variety Show" at V-Theater in the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino complex.
